Osho gave a rebirth to the old Sannyas, which was on its death-bed. The old sannyas had become totally irrelevant in the modern world. At this critical time, Osho felt that Sannyas should be given a new life, a new vision, a new consciousness. During his meditation camp in Manali, in the Himalayas, while talking on the divine playfulness of Lord Krishna, his total acceptance of life in all its colours, Osho ushered a new era of NeoSannyas by initiating the first group of youthful meditators. Since then the fresh breeze of sannyas and its meditative and affirmative playful lifestyle has been sweeping the whole world.
OshoNeoSannyas is a total discontinuity with the rotten past. It transcends all the boundaries--caste, colour, creed, and nations. It heralds the New Man.
