"A place of pilgrimage is
where the currents are flowing
from the body towards the soul,
where the whole atmosphere
is charged."

Shunya Mandir of Osho Nisarga
A Meditation Hall called Shunya Mandir at Osho Nisarga
Osho Shunya Mandir is at the heart
of Osho Nisarga. The design of this
meditation-hall combines conical
and pyramidal shapes merging
together. Local slate covers
the roof harmonizing it with
the ambience of
the Himachal landscape.
A typical Himachal-inspired canopy
surrounds all four sides of
the verandah around
the meditation-hall.

The Shunya Mandir has an internal area of
1,250 sq ft (381 sq m)
 facing the mountain stream.
The Mandir has a temple-like architecture with
excellent acoustics for meditation and music.
The construction helps to maintain an even
temperature in both warm and cooler weather.
The special marble floor,
rich snowy-white in color,
is known in Rajasthan
as the marble of the temples.

Cedar from Kashmir is used for the wood for the verandah
and the outer walls. The walls are made of
stones that come out of huge rocks within the property.
These stones have been hand-blasted, hand-chiseled and
properly shaped with a lot of care and
patience by local craftsmen.
From the verandah of this Mandir,
the vivid sunrises and sunsets with
changing hues of purple, yellow
and orange are a sight
to behold in wonder.
