Mystic Rose:
Osho Meditative Therapy
Facilitators
Ma Deva Priya
Priya is one of the rare fortunate ones who has been with Osho since birth. When she was born Osho blessed her with the name Priya and said to her parents “She is my child. I will take care of her.” He took a personal interest in her upbringing and education.
Swami Deva Naman
Sw. Naman has been caught in the love affair of Beloved Master OSHO in 1993. Since then his inner journey to self-discovery started and was blessed with sannyas in 2003.
About the Program
Mystic Rose is an intense three-week process, lasting three hours per day. The first week’s session induce laughter – for no reason at all – thereby dissolving the subconscious blocks to inner spontaneity and joy.
In week two, participants consciously enter crying – purposelessly again – letting go of buried pain & grief.
Emotional release leads to a soft lightness. The final week is dedicated to channelling the same into silent watching. Meditation happens!
“The symbol of the Mystic Rose is that if a man takes cares of the seed he is born with, gives it the right soil, gives it the right atmosphere and the right vibrations, moves on the right path where the seed can start growing, then the ultimate growth is symbolized as the mystic rose – when your being blossoms and opens all its petals and releases its beautiful fragrance. I have created a new meditation therapy.” “I have invented many meditations, but perhaps this will be the most essential and fundamental one.”
~ Osho
Being part of the first batch of the Mystic Rose in 1988
Priya’s journey from the first experiment to becoming a co-facilitator of this Osho Meditative Therapy technique (Next at Osho Nisarga, 4-24 March 2024)
I was blessed to be able to participate in the Mystic Rose for the first time in 1988, when Osho had just introduced it. I was part of the very first batch of 50 people, the so-called Workers’ Mystic Rose, to which ashram residents were invited.

Osho says
Unless you blossom into a mystic rose, your life is nothing but an exercise in utter futility. You are born unnecessarily, you are living unnecessarily, and you will die unnecessarily. Your whole biography can be reduced to a single word: unnecessary.
But if you can blossom and release that which is hidden in you, you have fulfilled the longing of existence. You have given back to existence the fragrance that was hidden in your seed. You have come to fulfill your destiny.
