Coming from Australia after 37 years of visiting and living in Poona – I took the jump in late December 2013 to explore a little of northern India: Delhi, Amritsar and Dharamshala.
Recommendations and searching the web led me to book a group and a two week stay at Osho Nisarga – to de-tox from the mind and the Western stage.
What a delightful and breathtaking surprise! Osho Nisarga is a very beautiful piece of paradise. Clean, exquisitely laid out and comfortable, providing the essential... love, soft honest company, hot water, warm beds and wonderful, generous food. It is safe, vast and sensitively detailed. The snow-capped Himalayas tower behind the ashram – raging silence, making me feel so utterly insignificant and totally empowered.
Having little idea of what to expect from the 3 day “Celebrate Here Now” group, I found myself in the magical Mandir (meditation hall), along with 42 Indians, 2 Germans, 2 Lebanese and 2 Italian as participants! The group was beautifully structured with meditations, laughter, tears, silence, forest walks and a growing playfulness that culminated in New Year’s Eve joyous theater and party celebrations.
I recognized I had fallen deeply into myself – and hopelessly in love with 48 strangers! Osho affirms it all…. ‘Death is a fiction’. Grateful, refreshed and expanded is how I leave this place, knowing I can return again and again.
Thankyou Neelam, Tathagat, Priya and all the lovely staff here.
