The 2 fundamental Sufi schools for practice are sober school of Sufism propagated by 'Junaid Baghdadi' and mystic school of Sufism started by 'Byzaid al Bistami'.
A seeker needs to be open and practice in both directions to taste and enjoy the wholeness of Sufi universe.
Truly it's our journey from NAFS or mind to our dormant spiritual heart.
Thus, clarity of mind and an open heart is what is needed to feel the essence of Sufism, Unio Mystica i.e. the union with the mystery.
