My love for creativity and adventure:

Swami Antar Rahi

Meaning of Sannyas varies for each individual, for me Sannyas means being creative and adventurous.

When I was 18 and wanted to start a career, I was looking for something which would not be mere work, instead a play full of passion. For around 2 years I experimented with different ideas in many fields. Ultimately, I realized my work had to boost my creativity and sense of adventure.

So, I started learning photography as well as other multimedia related creative works & DJing in year 2000.

There is a sacred secret behind ‘creativity and adventure’ which is - being aware, hence living in the moment. One remains in the moment while doing a creative work or anything adventurous. Both need immense attention, that’s how one feels “wow” while doing it! All creativity is born out of meditation – specially the aesthetic and the artistic creativity.

According to Osho, anything can become a meditation, even photography! I am learning and practicing the art of transforming work into meditation. How? Photography is one such art which requires a person to be meditative, still, fully present in the moment while shooting. Every photographer does it unknowingly.

An opportunity to be totally in the moment! While capturing, a beautiful moment, scene or an object, we feel “wow”, totally forgetting the past & the future and being absorbed by the moment, in the present. So, one can be totally meditative. When I lead the Photography group, I shall share all the methods and secrets behind the whole transformation.

Same applies in adventure but in a different way.

Osho says “The mind is very clever about day-to-day affairs; it continues its chattering. It stops only when there is some shock, something which is not digestible, which the mind cannot take in. That's, in fact, the attraction of adventure. The people who go on mountain climbing know it, what really is the attraction. The attraction is not just climbing beautiful mountains with a scenic panorama surrounding it -- that is not the point. Far deeper there is a psychology of it. When you are climbing a mountain there are thousand-and-one dangers. When you are surrounded by dangers; your mind stops. You become suddenly aware. There is great alertness and serenity. You have to take each step very carefully, consciously. That is really what meditation is all about.”

I lead trekking meditation based on this; and which transforms the act of trekking, adding another dimension to it, very distinctly experienced by the participants.

Osho Nisarga provides this opportunity to explore this creative and adventurous side. Take out sometime from your busy schedule to be with nature, to be with yourself!
